Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are one of the most dynamic duos on the Formula 1 grid. The two drivers have indulged in hilarious activities outside the track ever since their respective debuts for the team.

Charles Leclerc has been on a mixed spell so far this season. He started off looking strong and won the Monaco GP with his dominating performance. However, his home win followed a series of races in which he failed to perform well.

Carlos Sainz also had a similar course through the season but showed confidence on Saturday in Mexico. He now starts in pole position for the first time since Singapore 2023. Ahead of the race, Leclerc and Sainz recently indulged in a fun game of giant Jenga in the Mexican GP paddock.

The two drivers appear to be the favorites in Mexico by virtue of the Maranello-based team’s good form. The upcoming 71-lap Grand Prix will showcase how Ferrari performs against its rivals.

Charles Leclerc’s take after a disappointing P4 in qualifying

Qualifying has forever been a strength of Charles Leclerc’s capabilities on track. He was hence disappointed after failing to snatch pole position despite having a competitive car at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez racing circuit.

I’m disappointed, but I’m not surprised – I was struggling and not feeling well since FP2 with the car, that’s the way it is. In Q3, the lap was coming very nicely until Turn 10 where I lost the car, but I had to take those risks just because I didn’t have the pace. I think P4 is not that bad but, of course, it could be better.

Leclerc delved into the specifics of his final Q3 lap in qualifying. The 27-year-old claimed that he struggled with the pace and also lost balance in the SF-24 at turn 10, which hurt his chances further in the session.

The Monegasque driver won at Austin starting in P4 last week and will be looking to do the same in Mexico City as well. He will have the support of his teammate Carlos Sainz, who will make his best efforts to secure the win in the famous Mexican GP.
