Mercedes has started to regain their older dominant form and started scoring well in the 2024 season. George Russell has already scored a race victory in Austria after amassing pole position multiple times. However, Lewis Hamilton won the home race in Britain before the home crowd. As a result, Charles Leclerc was spotted congratulating the 39-year-old.

Lewis Hamilton scored the British GP win after a break of a shocking 945 days. Additionally, winning the race in front of the home crowd added to the specialty of the triumph. Hamilton’s recent in-form performances provided him with the best setup to win the British GP. Charles Leclerc congratulated the seven-time world champion on the victory.

Lewis Hamilton breaks Michael Schumacher’s record for most consecutive wins on a single circuit

Lewis Hamilton has a great history around the Silverstone racing circuit. The Briton scored his maiden victory at the track in 2008. Since then, the 39-year-old has scored several wins around this circuit. The 2024 British GP victory raises the total number of race wins to nine around the 5.8 km track.

Hence, this means that Hamilton broke Michael Schumacher‘s world record for most consecutive wins on a circuit. The 104th race victory has further increased the lead to the trailing drivers for the most number of race wins in F1. This meant that all was not over for the previously dominant driver in the pinnacle of motorsport.

Scoring a race victory after 945 days would be one of the greatest highlights in Lewis Hamilton’s career. The Briton didn’t hold back from showcasing his emotions after scoring the highly coveted race victory. Hence, the celebrations for the race win will go a long way for the Briton. The 39-year-old can only go up and above from this point forward.
