Charles Leclerc recently got married to his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Saint-Mleux. The wedding was a rather private one, and it was only their civil marriage. Leclerc has hinted that there is a second wedding planned, which will include family and friends. Now, the Monegasque already has a hilarious demand for a gift from his Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton accepted that he had yet to finalize a wedding gift for Charles Leclerc. During the media sessions ahead of the Australian GP, Hamilton was quizzed about what he would gift to the newlywed couple. However, the Briton joked that he might have to wait some time before finalizing on the gift, especially because of the upcoming 2026 season.

Speaking on not gifting Charles Leclerc yet, Lewis Hamilton hilariously joked that he wasn’t married yet and hence did not really have any advice on married life. Hamilton revealed that he usually delayed gifting things to people and gave them meaningful things. As such, the 41-year-old claimed that he might wait around six months before gifting something to Leclerc for his wedding.

I’ve never been married, so I definitely haven’t given him any advice, I haven’t gotten a wedding gift yet. I usually delay myself when it comes to gifts like that, so maybe six months in I’ll give it to him.

Lewis Hamilton said, as reported by motorsport.com.

During this conversation, Charles Leclerc did not lose the opportunity to ask for a rather hilarious gift from Lewis Hamilton. The Monegasque pointed out that in six months, the F1 season might see the title winner. Leclerc hopes it will be between him and Hamilton by then. As such, the 28-year-old asked the seven-time champion to let him win the championship in the 2026 season, if it ever came to that.

Well in six months time it will be the end of the season, so probably a title will be nice. But I’m not sure he will be willing to give me a title.

Charles Leclerc accepted that the Australian circuit and Chinese circuit remained one of the most difficult ones on the F1 calendar. However, he accepted that it shouldn’t be an excuse, and he enjoyed the challenge apart from the difficulty. Ultimately, he will want to work hard and turn around the situation by giving it all on the track, and focus solely on performance.

In FP2 I tried something quite aggressive which didn’t work out, so I’ll be back tomorrow into a more reasonable window and we’ll see how it looks like. There’s still some work to do. As I’ve always said, Melbourne and Shanghai are probably the two hardest tracks for me of the season, and I always struggle quite a bit, so it’s a challenge. But it shouldn’t be an excuse, and actually I enjoy that challenge, and I will work hard in order to turn that situation around tomorrow.

Charles Leclerc noted.

The 2026 season has started on the right note, and Ferrari seems to have many things under their control. Time will tell how Charles Leclerc manages the challenge of the new year and performs well. Moreover, Leclerc now has a wife to care about, as he will want to spend more time with her over the season. For now, the Monegasque will have to give his full-fledged attention to the new F1 season.
