Max Verstappen‘s efforts have been persistent on a whole new level this season. Despite facing much difficulty in keeping up with the speedy McLarens, the Dutchman has won more races than the entire team. His last victory came at the Brazilian GP, where he won from P17 on the grid.

On paper, this track doesn’t suit our car that well, but I think the fact it’s a Sprint format could help us. I think that tomorrow’s only free practice session will produce important indications: whoever has done their homework well could have a competitive advantage, which could then extend to the rest of the weekend.

Charles Leclerc said during the press conference at Lusail via ferrari.com

Leclerc has claimed that the Maranello-based team’s SF-24 might not be suited well to the Lusail International circuit. However, the 27-year-old is expecting the sprint race format to help boost his team’s hopes this weekend.

Ferrari has been in form ever since the resumption after the summer break. With only 24 points separating the top two teams in the title race, each point matters for them from here on. The upcoming race will therefore be extremely crucial for the Maranello-based outfit.
