Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has shared thoughts on his performances with the team over the years. The 27-year-old has been in fine form, winning three races and securing 11 podiums so far this campaign.

Charles Leclerc joined the Maranello-based team in 2019 after departing from Alpha Romeo (Stake F1 Sauber). He has since been tireless in his efforts but has not had the best of luck so far. Strategy lapses and miscommunications have been the tale of the failed bouts in his career.

Leclerc has, however, appeared convinced with his growth in the team over the past few years. The Monegasque driver claims he has strengthened his shortfalls, such as tire management, during this season.

Tyre management on my side was always a weakness back then and I think now it is actually one of my strengths. As a team, we have improved the way we have we are working together, and that’s small steps every year, but small steps in the right direction and that makes a difference. Strategy-wise, we are in a much better place today. Ravin [Jain] and his team are doing an exceptional job.

The Reds have been rejuvenated since the start of the 2023 season. They currently stand second in the title race, trailing by only 36 points to McLaren. Leclerc’s aim will now be to continue putting in good performances to help his team secure the championship.

Ex-F1 driver deems Carlos Sainz more ‘adaptable’ against Charles Leclerc

Former Swiss driver Marc Surer has shared his thoughts on the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The latter, who has spent four seasons with the Maranello-based team, is set to join Williams Racing in 2025.

Sainz’s strength. He can live with it if the car is not perfect, he can adapt to it, he can deal with it. If the car is good, then Leclerc is incredibly fast. But only then. When the car does what he wants. Then he is often two or three-tenths faster than Sainz – and Sainz doesn’t know why. But the car has to do exactly what Leclerc wants, namely turn in well. He is also one of those people who needs a car with a sticky front axle.

Marc Surer told the Formel1.de YouTube channel

Marc Surer has claimed that Carlos Sainz has the quality to adapt to different cars even if a car is not as perfect as he wants. Surer has also said that Leclerc on his day races better and faster than Sainz.

The 30-year-old also prefers a car with a sticky front axle, as per Marc Surer. Sainz’s hopes will now rest on the Grove-based team to prepare a car that is competitive in order for him to perform in the best way possible from next year onwards.
