Max Verstappen has achieved incredible success in Formula 1. This has made the Dutch driver one of the biggest names in the world of motorsport. However, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has revealed that Verstappen is not so fond with such fame.
The four-time world champion won his fourth F1 title in a row last year, solidifying his place amongst all-time greats. Christian Horner asserted Verstappen had grown in maturity over the years. Nevertheless he emphasized that the 2024 championship triumph meant a lot to the Red Bull star.
Moreover, Horner confessed that Max Verstappen is not a driver who particularly enjoys attention. The Red Bull team boss claimed that the Dutch driver was not so comfortable with the fame he has achieved in the sport. Christian Horner further stated that Verstappen was not very keen on receiving extreme admiration either.
Max Verstappen deserves all ‘plaudits’ in F1
The Red Bull team boss declared that Max Verstappen is a unique driver who simply wants to race the fastest cars in the world. Horner made it clear that despite such a mindset, the reigning world champion deserved all the praise he has received from pundits and fans for his impressive performances over the years.
Certainly, Max Verstappen is more focused on his on-track results that the praise being showered on him off the track. The 27-year-old will now be shifting focus onto the upcoming season. As the Red Bull star attempts to claim a fifth world championship in a row.
