The release date of the Formula 1 film produced by Lewis Hamilton starring Brad Pitt nears as the various teams prepare for the 2025 season. The film contains realistic scenes from the sport with the APXGP team racing around the circuits during live races. Moreover, real drivers and teams will also be showcased alongside the imaginary outfit. Due to this, Red Bull feared being painted as the ‘rivals’ as Christian Horner provided clarity over the status quo.
Ex-Mercedes Star Lewis Hamilton was famously known for his rivalry with Red Bull during his stint with the German carmaker. Previously, the Formula 1 film’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer had revealed that Red Bull feared being the rival in the movie. However, Christian Horner cleared that the team had ‘no paranoia’ as such. The Austrian outfit just wanted clarity over the perception of the players that was depicted in the movie.
I don’t think there was any paranoia about that. We just wanted to voice early on what the perception of the players was going to be.
Christian Horner told racingnews365.com
The team’s bosses and engineers will likely not appear in the movie to avoid any other issues. This means that Horner will probably not be shown in the movie. However, the 50-year-old was questioned about whether he acted in the movie. Upon this, the Briton joked that he acted enough in the actual sport of Formula 1 and didn’t need to appear in the movie too.
There is enough of that [acting] in Formula 1 as it is.

Christian Horner labeled Formula 1 movie as ‘really interesting’
The Formula 1 movie has an estimated budget of over $300 Million because of the realistic shooting. Due to this, Christian Horner reckoned that the movie was supposed to be quite interesting. The 50-year-old highlighted that Jerry Bruckheimer and Co. had worked hard to capture ‘amazing content.’
The movie is going to be really interesting. It is going to put F1 on the big screen, and Jerry Bruckheimer and his team have captured some amazing content. Imagine the benefit for all of our partners and for the F1 brand, being front and central in cinemas and houses around the world.
Christian Horner noted
Formula 1 has continued to gain massive traction and popularity in recent times. The movie will only propel the sport’s name forward by multiple folds. The release date of the movie is set for 25th June as the production house would rush into completing all the formalities. The movie would allow the fans to capture the essence of the pinnacle of motorsport from a different perspective.
