Christian Horner claimed Max Verstappen would have to use an extra power unit at some stage of the 2024 season. Verstappen has used the maximum allowable number of all engine components. Horner stated, any further changes would lead to a grid penalty to, which can impact his starting position in upcoming races.

Horner emphasized teams are limited in how many engine components they can use throughout the season. Each time they exceed these limits, they receive grid penalties, meaning Verstappen could start further back in the race lineup. The crucial factor is to strategically consider when to bring that new engine.

I am sure that at some point we will have to bring a new engine for Max. The main thing is to strategically consider the when question.
