Max Verstappen announced his long-time girlfriend Kelly Piquet‘s pregnancy ahead of the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP. The Dutchman is already a ‘bonus’ father to Piquet’s daughter Penelope with Daniil Kvyat. As a result, the 27-year-old seems ready to welcome the new child into the world. Hence, ahead of the child’s arrival, Red Bull boss Christian Horner talked highly of Verstappen becoming a father.

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko had already joked about Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet’s kid being born into a family of ‘champions’. Moreover, Verstappen’s heartwarming moments with Penelope during the livestreams prove that the 27-year-old would greatly adore his own kid.

Christian Horner pointed out that Verstappen was very natural around kids especially with the former’s children. Horner raised no doubts over the reigning world champion embracing fatherhood ‘naturally’. The 27-year-old had also claimed how he wouldn’t force his kid into motorsport just like his father Jos Verstappen did.
