Daniel Ricciardo raced for Red Bull from 2014 to 2018, creating many memories and achieving race wins under the guidance of team principal Christian Horner. Before the Singapore GP, rumors suggested he would be replaced at RB. Yesterday, the team officially announced that they have parted ways with the 35-year-old. Horner shared a heartfelt message reflecting on their past memories and bid him farewell.
Christian Horner shared his tribute to Daniel Ricciardo, emphasizing the strong bond they developed during Ricciardo’s time at Red Bull. Although the Australian was let go by RB, following a series of disappointing performances, many celebrated his 13-year journey in F1.
Horner highlighted that even before joining Red Bull, it was clear that the 35-year-old was more than just a driver. Ricciardo brought a unique energy and personality to the paddock that enriched the team dynamic.

Daniel Ricciardo’s eight wins, 32 podiums and 1329 points earned are remarkable but it didn’t fully reflect what he was or he had achieved. According to Horner, the Honey Badger’s contribution extends beyond these numbers. This highlighted his character and dedication and the positive impact he had on the Red Bull family. Ultimately, the 50-year-old expressed gratitude for everything Ricciardo brought to the team during his time there.

The remainder of the 2024 season will be raced by reserve driver Liam Lawson for RB. With six rounds left, the upcoming race in Austin presents a significant challenge for Red Bull.
