Christian Horner reveals Red Bull’s prospects to defend Max Verstappen’s 2024 title in last 6 races
Christian Horner claimed that Red Bull would aim to defend Max Verstappen's 2024 title while also trying to regain the WCC lead.

Red Bull’s extreme performance slump has caused the team to lose the constructor’s championship lead to McLaren. Woking is currently 41 points ahead of Milton Keynes in the standings with crushing hopes of a WCC victory. Moreover, Max Verstappen continues to face threats from in-form Lando Norris aiming for the drivers’ title battle with the former.
Christian Horner reassured that Red Bull was focused on Max Verstappen‘s championship chances in the 2024 season. Horner pointed out Verstappen’s lead of 52 points in the drivers’ title standings to Lando Norris. The Red Bull boss iterated that a lot of races and a lot of points were pending ahead of the season finale.

Horner believed that a lot of racing between the drivers was still to happen. Hence, the 50-year-old believed that the team would certainly be fighting hard throughout the remainder of the races in the season. As a result, the end-of-the-campaign battle could put forth some interesting scenarios for the drivers’ championship.

Christian Horner reassures Red Bull ‘fighting for both championships’
Red Bull hit an all-time low in motivation amidst the incessant performance struggle for both drivers. However, Christian Horner highlighted that everyone was massively motivated and aimed to fight for both the world championships. Subsequently, the Red Bull boss raised surety over performing well in the upcoming races.
I think everybody’s massively motivated in the team. We’re still fighting obviously for both championships. We took a hit again in the constructors’ again today, but there’s some circuits [coming up] that we’ve performed very well at in the past.Christian Horner noted
Verstappen might have to work extra hard in order to retain the drivers’ championship title. Lando Norris has left no stone unturned in maximizing his points in the 2024 season. Regardless of the championship victory, the latter half of the season promises great excitement and racing action.
