Hill was not satisfied with the performance of Mercedes at last week’s event and concluded that they stand last amongst the top four teams behind Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren. The Toto Wolff-led outfit finished the 63-lap Imola race almost 35 seconds off of the pace of the leader, Max Verstappen.

With the recent Italian weekend done and dusted, Mercedes now looks to pick up their pace towards the second race of the European leg at Monaco. The outfit has been winless at the tight and twisty track since 2019.
