The Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been working on film based on Formula. The highly-anticipated project starring Brad Pitt alongside actor Damson Idris will be soon released worldwide in theaters and in IMAX by Warner Bros.

Damson Idris has played the role of Joshua Pearce for Apple’s $300 million film titled ‘F1’. Idris talked about Lewis Hamilton‘s impact and role in the film. He highlighted there was no better person to teach them about Formula 1 than Hamilton. The seven-time-world champion is a highly successful and experienced F1 driver, known for his numerous victories and deep knowledge of the sport. Idris thought because of his experience and success he could offer the best values on how F1 works.

There is no better person to teach you about Formula 1 than Lewis Hamilton.

Damson Idris explained when Hamilton first saw the clips, he pointed out that some of the things are not accurate. The Briton labeled it ‘BS’, making it clear that certain situations depicted would not actually happen in real Formula 1 races. Lewis Hamilton made sure they understood what was true and real in F1. His input helped ensure that their portrayal of Formula 1 was as realistic and true as real life racing.

So, Lewis comes in, and he essentially calls BS. He lets us know that ‘hey, that wouldn’t happen.

F1 film producer praises Lewis Hamilton for keeping everything real

The F1 titled movie is produced by multiple producers and Jerry Bruckheime is one of them partnering with Lewis Hamilton. He noted Hamilton is making sure everything about the racing scenes is accurate. He highlighted Briton’s role, as to provide guidance and check that the film portrays Formula 1 racing correctly.

Bruckheimer described their collaboration as ‘phenomenal.’ Meaning that it has been incredibly successful and helpful for making the movie as realistic and true to the sport as possible. He praised Hamilton for his involvement, as because of him they have been able to get the racing details right, which has greatly improved their project.

It seems that Jerry Bruckheimer and Damson Idris were initially okay with the film as it was. However, Lewis Hamilton’s involvement in the project, including correcting some of the facts and myths, significantly improved it. The movie is set to be released in theaters in the summer of 2025, and the teaser has already been released.
