Daniel Ricciardo confesses Dutch GP turned his year ‘upside down’ due to wrist injury in 2023
Daniel Ricciardo recalled his 2023 Dutch GP wrist injury which changed the entire course of the remainder of the season.

Daniel Ricciardo went through a rollercoaster of a season in 2023. The Aussie was selected for a seat at AlphaTauri (currently RB) mid-season and aimed to perform well. However, a serious wrist injury at the Dutch GP caused Ricciardo to miss out on five races. Hence, the 35-year-old reflected on his performances and the season since his absence during injury.
The 2024 season is off to a rocky start for Daniel Ricciardo after he failed to outscore his teammate Yuki Tsunoda in the first half. Regardless, the team worked hard on their performance over the summer break and is hoping for a revival of performance. Ricciardo recalled that his year turned upside down after the crash that injured his wrist.

However, despite the problems, Ricciardo asserted that he liked the Zandvoort circuit a lot. The Australian driver further claimed that the chassis (VCARB 01) was fantastic in performance. As a result, the 35-year-old has hoped to revive performance after enjoying the much-needed break over the summer.

Daniel Ricciardo ‘positive’ that RB was ‘fighting for points’ despite the performance slump
RB has scored a highly tumultuous performance since the season’s beginning, especially Ricciardo. However, he believed that RB’s performance was highly positive from the get-go. Subsequently, the Australian raised positivity over Faenza’s chances of fighting for points over the remainder of the races.

The 2024 season has peaked in competition and excitement in the middle order as well. Multiple teams have continued to put forth great racing action for points at the various racing circuits. RB has continued to fend off their rivals as Daniel Ricciardo hopes to overcome his teammate Yuki Tsunoda going forward.
