Daniel Ricciardo has had an underwhelming start to the 2024 season. The Australian driver has failed to outpace Yuki Tsunoda for most of the races this year. However, the 8-time race winner has made it clear that he will be aiming to get a solid result at the Canadian GP this weekend.

Ricciardo expressed his love for Montreal. The 34-year-old affirmed that he loved the Canadian city. Moreover, Daniel Ricciardo mentioned that he had special memories from the Canadian GP. As the Australian driver won his first ever F1 race on this track way back in 2014.

I love Montreal, the city, the track. I am really excited to be back. It is a place that I carry in my heart, with special memories: this year will be ten years after my first Formula 1 victory on this track.

The Japanese driver revealed that he was going to spend a few days with his friends in the Canadian city before the race. Moreover, Tsunoda mentioned that his number one goal for the Canadian GP was to finally score points at the circuit.

I will spend a couple of days there with some friends before the race. As much as I like the track, I never scored points, so this is definitely my number one goal for this weekend.

The Honda prodigy highlighted that he had put an end to his points drought at Monaco GP this year. As such, Yuki Tsunoda was confident that he could finally manage to achieve a top 10 finish in Montreal this weekend.

Two weeks ago I managed to get points in Monaco for the first time, I'd like to do it in another circuit where I haven't been able to.

Certainly, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda have high ambitions for the Canadian GP. RB is currently facing stiff competition in the lower half of the pecking order. Even a couple of points could have massive implications in the standings. As such, the Faenza-based team would be hoping for both its drivers to have a good weekend.
