Daniel Ricciardo claims RB teammate Yuki Tsunoda is finally ‘getting the credit he deserves’ in F1

Visa Cash App RB driver Daniel Ricciardo has praised his teammate Yuki Tsunoda for his strong performances this season. Tsunoda has scored 22 points, whereas Ricciardo has amassed only 12.
Yuki Tsunoda made his debut F1 with AlphaTauri (RB) in 2021 after winning the Japanese F4 championship in 2018. He has since been a persistent worker for the Red Bull sister team, improving upon his pace and prowess year on year.
Daniel Ricciardo has deemed Tsunoda as a capable driver who has been a fast learner as well. He has also claimed that the Japanese is worthy of receiving credibility for his performances on track.
I think now he's definitely getting probably the credit that he deserves. He's definitely grown a lot in the last couple of years. So yes, he's fast. Do I rate him? I do. Tsunoda has been on the hunt for a promotion to Red Bull for a long time and is hopeful of receiving some favorable news in the near future. Until then, he will continue to make efforts to improve his pace to amass greater points this season.
Laurent Mekies’ take on current situation at RB
RB team principal Laurent Mekies has given an unbiased opinion on the team’s performances this season. Mekies took over the lead as RB at the start of the 2024 season and has been influential in his role ever since.

Mekies claims that the team has discovered the right direction to scoring points this season. The Frenchman, however, claimed that RB has failed to succeed in a competitive manner against their rivals this season.
RB has amassed 34 points this campaign, surpassing their season total of 2023 already. The Red Bull sister team will now have to resolve issues with the VCARB-01 in order to challenge their mid-table rivals after the summer break.
