Daniil Kvyat was demoted from Red Bull to make way for Max Verstappen after four races in 2016. The Russian driver was shifted to Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso (presently VisaCashAppRB). Kvyat last raced in F1 in 2020 before being finally shown the door by the Faenza-based team. Now, the 29-year-old mentioned that the team could reach out to him if required, amidst rumored instability within Milton Keynes.

Christian Horner‘s investigation saga once again created a power struggle among the team’s top spots. Adrian Newey was allegedly looking to leave the team. Moreover even Helmut Marko and Max Verstappen were rumored to depart from Red Bull due to the entire ordeal. Even, Dietrich Mateschitz‘s heir and Marko were plotting to oust the team principal previously. However, after Red Bull cleared the team principal of any allegations, things have seemed to calm down at Milton Keynes

Daniil Kvyat asserted that everything seemed a ‘little choatic’ at Red Bull. Additionally, the former F1 driver took a jibe at the situation and claimed that he ‘wasn’t surprised’. Kvyat joked that if Milton Keynes was keen on bringing back some old friend, he would be available. The 29-year-old mentioned that the Austrian team still ‘had his phone number’ in case they needed to bring him back.

It seems like everything is a little chaotic there. Personally, I'm not surprised. It looks like they want to bring some old friends back, so if any of them want to reach out to me, they still have my phone number.
Daniil Kvyat told Speed City Broadcasting (H&T: soymotor.com).

Daniil Kvyat questioned the importance of Christian Horner over Helmut Marko at Red Bull

Daniil Kvyat was not hesitant in taking shots at the current situation in Red Bull. The Russian driver questioned the importance of Christian Horner and Helmut Marko over each other. Horner reportedly has garnered even more support from Thai shareholders of Red Bull GmbH after a meeting in Dubai.

I don't know if it is Helmut or Christian who is more important within the team.

Apart from this, Kvyat also questioned who was winning the power struggle within the team. According to the 29-year-old, the entire situation will be ‘interesting’ to witness. Hence, the Russian driver would keep the door open for a highly unlikely call up from Milton Keynes in the future.

I don't know who is winning the power struggle up there. I think everything will be very interesting.
Daniil Kvyat declared.

Red Bull also wishes to put an end to the rumors about the power struggle which have been going on ever since the death of Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz. The team continues to race as intended despite the power struggle and stability issues within the top roles. Milton Keynes’ on-track results have remained unaffected despite the tensions as the team won three of the first four races.
