F1 Pundit asserts 2025 to be Lewis Hamilton’s ‘best chance’ to win title with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton will finally race for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1 this year. The seven-time world champion has joined Maranello on a multi-year deal. However, F1 presenter David Croft insists that the 2025 season might be the real shot for Hamilton to win the title.
The British driver remains hungry as ever to win another world title. Lewis Hamilton desires to fulfill this goal of his career during his dream stint at the Scuderia. Though, some believed that the 2026 regulation change was the real opportunity for the F1 star to win the championship.
Nevertheless, David Croft highlighted that the upcoming season will not witness rapid upgrades from rival teams. As all top teams will shift focus to the 2026 rules. Thus, this will present the best chance for Hamilton to win an unprecedented eighth world championship.
What I would say is this might be Lewis’ best chance of an eighth World title, given the season that it could be in terms of teams won’t be throwing developments week after week after week, because they’ve got 2026 to think about.

Lewis Hamilton the ‘right man’ for Ferrari
Crofty further claimed that Ferrari would likely be in the best position this year. The F1 presenter highlighted that the Maranello has not won a single championship since 2008, making them hungrier to win. Moreover, he declared that Lewis Hamilton was indeed the right man for this job, alongside teammate Charles Leclerc.
I do think Ferrari will be the most keen to get the most out of 2025 of the big four teams because it’s so long since they won something and they want to prove that Lewis is the right man and or Charles as well.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari will have high expectations for the upcoming season. Although, it is likely that the two parties will keep realistic targets for their first season together. On the other hand, the Tifosi will be rooting for the seven-time world champion to try and bag his first win as a Ferrari driver at the season-opener in Melbourne.
