Did Bugatti Ban Jenson Button From Purchasing Their Cars?

Bugatti is one of the most exclusive and luxurious sports car companies in the world. The feeling of owning their cars is dreamt by many but only achieved by some. Those include business tycoons, celebrities and also race car drivers. Although no matter how rich you get, there is still a process that needs to be followed before you can buy one of these magnificent vehicles.

Bugatti is not as strict as Ferrari when it comes to purchasing one of their vehicles. However that doesn’t mean that you can get your hands on one that easily.  Although, Bugatti’s executive Anita Krizsan revealed a shocking truth as provided by Top Gear. “This brand shouldn’t be seen as closed. We want to share. If anyone walks in, the car is not roped off, you can have a look,” she said

“You can touch it, feel it. We are not here because we want to sell cars, we are here to represent a beautiful brand. It’s important to us,” she further continued. This in turn has become proof of how the company is stuck on the idea of enhancing their brand and making others feel the same. However, what F1 world champion Jenson Button did surely didn’t sit well with the brand.

Jenson Button managed to disrespect Bugatti through his actions

Being a Formula 1 driver, it seemed clear as to why Jenson Button would love the Bugatti. A fast supercar that can reach speeds greater than any normal car while providing some luxurious comfort seemed like the perfect blend for the Brit. However, his actions seemed to prove that he wasn’t that big of a fan. Having bought Bugatti, it seemed like the driver would have it till the end but that didn’t seem to be the case.

Back in 2009, Jenson Button put his Bugatti up for sale for a price tag of 1 million dollars. Having only completed 1500 miles in the supercar, it seemed like he wasn’t very satisfied with it. When one buys a Bugatti, he would obviously be monitored and with Jenson putting one of their cars up for sale, it would surely put a paint a bad image for the supercar manufacturer.

Having driven it for under 2000 miles, a price like that seems like a grab for anyone who was rich enough to purchase the world champion’s super car. Although it is clear that it must have not sat well with the folks at Bugatti. While there had been no official statement, it seems doubtful whether the Brit will ever be able to buy a Bugatti again.
