Ex-F1 team boss pinpoints ‘downside’ of action-packed 2024 season
Former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan revealed a major downside of the 2024 season despite being an exciting year for the sport.

2024 witnessed one of the most competitive Formula 1 seasons in recent history. Three drivers had a real shot at the Drivers’ title while four teams battled it out for victories over the course of the year. Now, former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan has highlighted a major downside of the season.
Jordan emphasized on the role played by the FIA this year. The 76-year-old pointed towards the actions taken by the sports governing body over behavior of drivers. As Max Verstappen was punished for swearing during a press conference.
Eddie Jordan acknowledged that the sport has millions of young listeners who shouldn’t be exposed to coarse language. Though, the Irishman highlighted that the FIA will need to find the right balance to ensure drivers like Verstappen do not feel attacked over the entire situation. The Dutch driver had claimed that he was punished like a kid by the governing body.

Nevertheless, Jordan’s ranking of the entire championship remained unaffected by the FIA crackdown on swearing. The former team owner admitted that he failed to recall a season which had been better than Max Verstappen’s title campaign this year. Eddie Jordan claimed that the 2024 season was simply fantastic.
Certainly, fans would share the opinion of Jordan in what was an exciting year for the sport. Now, drivers and teams need to work hard over the winter break to ensure they come out on top at the beginning of 2025. Perhaps, next season could bring in a few surprises for the entire paddock.
