Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, has been competing at the pinnacle of motor racing since 2015. With each passing year, Verstappen has gone on to hone his skills, and with him having already amassed six victories in a possible nine this year, the Ex-F1 team owner, Eddie Jordan has compared him to F1 legends like Michael Schumacher and the late. Ayrton Senna.
Jordan has indicated that according to him, Max Verstappen is probably one of the greatest drivers F1 has ever seen. He genuinely feels that if one was able to put Verstappen, Michael Schumacher, and Ayrton Senna in the same car, the Dutchman hands down would have come out on top.
The 26-year-old has so far amassed three world championships in his F1 career.
I've had Senna in the car, I've had Michael Schumacher in the car, but I honestly believe hand on heart that if you could get Senna, Schumacher, and Max in the same car, in the same race, in a given moment, I think Max would edge it. I really think Max would. He's that good. He's so solid.Eddie Jordan said via Racingnews365
Looking at the reaction of the 76-year-old, it is quite clear that Jordan views Verstappen as one of the best drivers to ever step foot into F1. Moreover, the applause from him multiples 10-folds when one considers that Schumacher ended his career as a seven-time world champion and Senna on his part, amassed three championships before his fatal 1994 crash.
Christian Horner claims Max Verstappen is a ‘demanding customer’
While Jordan has left no stone unturned in letting it known that Verstappen is one of the best, the latter’s Red Bull boss, Christian Horner has also recently given a fascinating take on his driver. According to Horner, the Dutchman demands a lot from everyone on the Milton-Keynes-based team.
Verstappen triumphed at the Canadian GP under treacherous race conditions.
Max is a demanding customer, as is everybody in the team, so he's only voicing what the team feel. Everybody is aiming for excellence. That's the way this team is, and what it strives for.Christian Horner said in an interview with Racingnews365
Max Verstappen is contracted to Red Bull until the end of the 2028 F1 season. He has on several occasions made it known that he would ideally like to end his career with the Austrian team. Keeping this in view and his dominance in F1, the 26-year-old could keep on amassing victories for fun at least until the end of 2025.
