David Coulthard showcased his excitement of Lando Norris winning by pouring water over the latter after a difficult Singapore GP.

McLaren’s dominant pace was visible at the Singapore GP after Lando Norris achieved a victory with over 20s of gap to Max Verstappen. The Briton has continued to close in on the Dutchman in terms of points in the drivers’ title. Hence, multiple people applauded Norris’ victory after a sublime drive in Singapore. However, Ex-Red Bull driver David Coulthard was spotted congratulating Norris in a more personal manner.
David Coulthard was present as the post-race interviewer for the drivers on the podium. Lando Norris was extremely delighted to score the race win and was commenting on the same. The Briton mentioned multiple times about the extreme weather conditions around the Marina Bay Circuit which made him feel hot.
Hence, David Coulthard took it upon himself to help Norris cool down after the race. The Australian poured an entire bottle of water on the race winner following the interview. As a result, the entire McLaren crew cheered upon this wholesome moment between the two.

David Coulthard also requested a ‘hug’ from Lando Norris after dousing him with water
In addition to this, David Coulthard didn’t miss out on the opportunity to showcase his delight further. Coulthard requested Lando Norris for a hug after dousing him with water to cool him down. The 53-year-old told Norris that he wanted a hug from the race driver and didn’t mind the latter being wet from the water while hugging.

People around the duo enjoyed the wholesome moment while it lasted. Such a loving relationship between two people isn’t always common in Formula 1. Hence, Coulthard will continue to visit the race weekends to cheer on the prolific McLaren driver.
