Lewis Hamilton is statistically the greatest F1 driver of all time. However, since the introduction of the ground effect regulations, the Briton has been a former version of himself. He has often struggled with the intricacies surrounding the cars, which led him to finish his all-time low seventh in the championship standings. This led the Ex-F1 driver David Coulthard to deem him as the disappointment of 2024.
The Mercedes drivers amassed seven world championships during the turbo-hybrid era, out of which, Lewis Hamilton bagged a staggering six. However, since his last title defeat in 2021, he has struggled to regain his fierce image. Moreover, his 2024 campaign was majorly filled with mediocre moments.
Subsequently, David Coulthard accredited him with the title that no driver really wants.
If we put Logan to one side, I would have to say that Lewis has been the disappointment, and I know that’s controversial in that he’s a seven-time world champion, he’s a winning machine, but I’ve never seen this Lewis in Formula 1.

However, the 39-year-old’s fortune could soon turn around with his arrival at Maranello. Hamilton would be hoping to prove the 2024 season to be an anomaly, make the best out of his move to Ferrari, and win the record-breaking eighth world championship.
Lewis Hamilton ecstatic to join the Maranello-based Ferrari
Following on with this, January 1st, 2025, marked the first day of Hamilton joining the Italian squad. He would soon be wearing the elusive scarlet red outfit in all its glory and fulfill his long-time dream.

Celebrating his first day at the Italian powerhouse, Hamilton claimed that he is excited about the upcoming campaign with the Scuderia. Moreover, he braces himself for the challenges that might come his way in the upcoming months.
I could not be more excited for the year ahead. Moving to Scuderia Ferrari, there’s a lot to reflect on. To anyone considering their next move in 2025: embrace the change. Whether you’re switching industries, learning a new skill, or even just taking on new challenges, remember that reinvention is powerful. Your next opportunity is always within reach. Here’s to 2025—a year of embracing new opportunities, staying hungry, and driving forward with purpose. Let’s make it one to remember. Andiamo

However, Charles Leclerc would ideally want to keep the spotlight on him at Ferrari in the 2025 season. The Monegasque has often been deemed the ‘Golden Boy’ of the Fred Vasseur-led team.
So, while Hamilton has to fend off the critics who are throwing mud on his name, he might also have to force his way into the Ferrari ecosystem. A situation of an intra-team war might take place at the prancing horses, which Hamilton is no stranger to.
