He recently summed up his season so far, and interestingly, referenced golf while describing his feelings.

Some weekends we arrive and we think we’re going to be better than we are and we’re not great, and then some weekends all of a sudden we’re there and win the race and it lifts us up. It’s a bit like playing golf. You get one good hit and it makes you continue, but all the rest of the shots are really bad! It’s that kind of experience.

Hamilton has so amassed 174 points in the ongoing campaign with two victories and four podiums. The W15 has proved a handful but despite this, the seven-time world champion will ideally want to amass at least one more with his beloved Mercedes F1 team.

He has all the skills in his arsenal to do the same but he will need assistance from the Brackley-based team. If they are able to produce an extremely competent challenger for the remaining rounds, then Hamilton will have a very strong chance of triumphing a few more times this year.
