Former Brazilian Motorsport racer Felipe Nasr has spoken highly of Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso. Nasr raced alongside Alonso for two seasons in Formula 1 and has recalled the memories between them.
Fernando Alonso has been making his trade in F1 for over 22 years, showcasing nothing but greatness on track since his debut in 2001. Alonso has won the world championship twice, amassing 32 wins and 22 pole positions.

Nasr has therefore regarded Alonso as one of the most complete drivers in the history of the sport. He has also praised the veteran Spaniard’s versatility and experience, which he has gained over the years.
Alonso was great, even when he was at McLaren in the midfield. I've been with him several times and there's no doubt that he's one of the most complete drivers I've seen. Complete in different cars and different situations, a driver with whom experience always prevails. We can see that in addition to his talent, experience counts for a lot.Felipe Nasr said in an interview with Motorsport Brazil
Alonso has not lived up to his brilliant standards, amassing only 49 points so far this season. He has, however, pledged to bounce back and thus, will be eyeing good performances for Aston Martin in the upcoming second half of the season.
Ex-Dutch racer dubs Fernando Alonso a victim of Aston Martin’s shortfalls
Aston Martin has lost severe ground with their AMR24 in comparison to their performances in the previous year. Dutch Motorsport racer Tom Coronel has conveyed his thoughts on the Silverstone-based team’s downfall this season.

Aston Martin has lost ground compared to the top teams. And Alonso is the victim of that.Tom Coronel told the Formula 1 magazine
Coronel believes that the 43-year-oldhas been affected in the worst possible manner by the incompetency of the AMR24. Alonso showed great pace and promise during the 2023 season, amassing eight podiums for Aston Martin.
The Mike Krack-led team has failed to succeed with any of their upgrades so far this campaign. They have reportedly worked on their shortfalls during the summer break and will now be keen on producing a better run from the Dutch GP onwards. Alonso pulled off a sensational second place finish at the event last year.
