Aston Martin and $37 Billion-worth American IT company Cognizant have continued to work as partners for a couple of years. Hence, the latter arranged an event in Chennai, India, and invited Fernando Alonso to attend. Alonso had a nice chat with the employees of the firm and revealed his favorite moment in Formula 1.
Fernando Alonso is currently the oldest driver on the grid with the most experience. The Asturian has driven a challenger at almost all circuits present on the Formula 1 calendar. However, after partaking in almost 400 races, it would be hard to pinpoint one exact favorite moment.
Regardless, Alonso reckoned that his favorite moment was during the 2012 Indian GP, which had been discontinued after the 2013 season. The 43-year-old noted that this race was special as he beat Michael Schumacher‘s record of maximum total points. Additionally, the two-time world champion had also kept a special helmet for this moment.

Fernando Alonso insists it was ‘great’ returning to India after a long time
India had not been very progressive in regards to allowing Formula 1 to host races further. As a result, Fernando Alonso hadn’t visited the country in well over a decade at least. Hence, the 43-year-old claimed that it was great to return to India after a long time. Additionally, he thanked the Cognizant team for the help provided to the constructor on track in Formula 1.
It was great to return to India and visit the Cognizant family in Chennai. It's been extremely valuable to hear first-hand about the work they are doing all around the world and of course with us at the race-track.Fernando Alonso said at the Cognizant event, reported by astonmartinf1.com
Apart from the events scheduled for Aston Martin, the team would have to shift their entire focus on their performances. The 2024 season has put forth a disappointing pace and performance throughout. Hence, the Silverstone-based constructor would have to desperately work on their form and attempt to score better in the coming season.
