Earlier this year, Ferrari faced the decision of replacing either Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz to make room for Lewis Hamilton. Ultimately, they chose to drop Sainz for the 2025 season, despite his considerable talent and skills. Ferrari chose to pair Leclerc with Hamilton in 2025. Recently, Team Principal Fred Vasseur was asked whether he would be interested in working with Sainz in the future.

Fred Vasseur when asked, said that he would definitely love to work with Sainz in future. He expressed strong respect for Carlos Sainz, acknowledging the significant contributions he made to Ferrari. Vasseur admitted that the decision to let him go was challenging and not taken lightly. Despite this tough choice, he praised the Spaniard for his excellent performance and the valuable work he did for the team.
