Max Verstappen, the reigning world champion, did his usual thing as he triumphed in yesterday’s 2024 Emilia-Romagna GP. While things were intense during the last lap against McLaren’s Lando Norris, there was also one other incident during the Imola weekend that caught the eyes of the fans.
During Friday’s running, two Ferrari fans were being a nuisance to Max Verstappen and thus, the latter was spotted giving them the middle finger. The 26-year-old even talked about it during the post-FP2 interviews!

Many thought the dust around the incident had settled, until the two Ferrari fans, decided to come up with a reaction of their own! Their antics have made immense noise on the web, and it went like this:
Hi Max, I'm Morekle and my name is Gino, we just want to apologize for being idiots. We were so proud of the middle finger you showed us, we jumped around like little girls, but we wanna say thank you Max, after that you became a legend in our hearts. The Ferrari fans said post Saturday’s F1 running

Looking at the above-mentioned video of the fans, they have come up with a cheeky yet hilarious reaction to Verstappen’s comments around the ‘middle finger’ incident. Moreover, in a sarcastic manner, they have even deemed the Dutchman an absolute legend. Such back-and-forth banter is always good for the popularity of the sport every now and then.
Max Verstappen almost ‘ended up in the grandstand’ during the Emilia-Romagna GP
While Max Verstappen’s pitlane incident with Ferrari fans is making immense noise, he almost lost out on the Emilia-Romagna GP win. During his second stint, he was finding it difficult to keep his RB20 within the track limits.

The hard compounds just proved a bit too tricky for the 26-year-old around the Enzo E Dino Ferrari racing circuit.
As soon as I swapped to the Hard tyres, maybe not the first five to 10 laps but after that I was like ‘I’m not sure I can bring this to the end. You could feel when the tires were not gripping up anymore. Turn 7, I almost ended up in the grandstand from my feeling at some point.Max Verstappen said in an interview with racingnews365
The reigning world champion has already amassed five Grand Prix wins out of the seven that have taken place so far this season. However, despite the recent win, Verstappen and Red Bull can’t afford to relax as McLaren is charging at the rate of knots. The MCL38 is working very well and could prove to be a lethal threat going ahead into the 2024 season.
