Lewis Hamilton starts a new chapter in his career with Scuderia Ferrari this year. The British driver joins Maranello after an underwhelming final season with Mercedes. The F1 icon seemed to be in need of such a change in environment.

The seven-time world champion has struggled since the start of the ground-effect era in 2022. Hamilton even went winless for over two years. 2024 was better in some regards but his frustrations only increased as Mercedes fell behind rival teams.

Lewis Hamilton seems to be in a different mood entirely at Ferrari than he was at Mercedes in recent months. The 40-year-old finally has a new outlook to his future with his new team. This has been resonated by the Scuderia.

Hamilton will be given whatever he needs to get up to speed at Maranello. He is a driver who thrives when he is comfortable, something Ferrari has likely made him feel already. So much so, that the Briton recalled his first F1 test when he got into the cockpit of the SF-23.

The seven-time world champion feels to be in a starkly different mindset with Ferrari. It seems that the 40-year-old has gained faith in himself once again. This will further raise expectations on the Briton for the upcoming season. Though, it remains to be seen if he can convert this energy into on-track results.
