The 2025 season will mark 75 years of Formula 1, and the sport has already planned major events throughout the year. The first and foremost event is the F1 75 event, where all the teams and drivers will come forth and reveal their chassis. Ferrari’s 2025 campaign will be a big deal, as seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is set to join them. As a result, the team reportedly might not reveal the chassis at the launch event.

Lewis Hamilton‘s time with Mercedes is almost up as the 2024 season nears completion. The 39-year-old is already looking forward to the move with some tests planned for the same. Hence, now, according to reports, Ferrari will not partake in chassis revelation at the F1 75 event. Moreover, the Italian constructor has their own tradition of revealing the chassis in Maranello.

This means that Ferrari will similarly showcase their chassis but not the livery. The Italian constructor has planned to unveil only the livery at the F1 75 event scheduled on 18th February. The team will reveal the chassis design before this event for which the dates are yet to be confirmed. As a result, Hamilton will enjoy the opportunity to reveal the chassis in a true Ferrari manner.

Ferrari planning to allow lucky fans to attend the Maranello event

Ferrari’s grand revelation of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc‘s chassis for the 2025 season might also include the fans. The team has already launched a campaign to allow fans to enter a raffle to gain entry tickets. This means that the lucky fans will witness first-hand the revelation of the chassis that will be run throughout Hamilton’s inaugural season with Maranello.

Apart from Ferrari, a majority, if not all the teams are also reportedly not going to reveal the chassis at the F1 75 event. Constructors will host separate events for chassis reveals, showcasing only the livery at the main event. Moreover, the ticket-selling process for the event was in shambles as the tickets are being sold at massive mark-up prices now.

Formula 1 must ensure better hosting of the events for such a large-scale sport. The pinnacle of motorsport continues to grow in terms of popularity and audience. Hence, the sport will need to cater to the massively growing audiences and not only be restricted to the British masses.
