Lewis Hamilton is all set to debut with Ferrari in the 2025 season. The Briton is expected to return the Italian constructor to their lost glory in Formula 1. Hamilton’s pre-season testing and Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) went smoothly as the team gained crucial information. Now, Fred Vasseur has raised positivity on the seven-time champion’s ease of managing.

Lewis Hamilton partook in numerous test sessions to get accustomed to Ferrari’s difference in operation. Fred Vasseur highlighted that a ‘champion’ like Hamilton was extremely easy to manage over the sessions. Moreover, Vasseur believed that his acquaintance with the 40-year-old ever since he was a kid made the process even more smooth.

It’s easy to manage champions like this, especially if you’ve known them since they were kids.

Vasseur noted that despite Hamilton being a seven-time world champion, had to live out a completely new experience with Ferrari. The Frenchman pointed out that the 40-year-old had to be accustomed to a different steering wheel layout, new procedures, and many more. Hence, after the intense days of testing, the 56-year-old believes that the Briton is ready for the season-opener in Melbourne.

Even though he is a seven-time world champion, he is living a completely new experience. It’s not easy to change teams: he’s known new procedures, he had to get used to a different steering wheel and different software. They were intense days, it went well in Bahrain and now it’s ready for Melbourne.

Fred Vasseur highlights ‘best way of learning’ for Charles Leclerc with Lewis Hamilton

Charles Leclerc has been racing with Ferrari for quite a while now with a couple of teammates. With Lewis Hamilton’s entry, Fred Vasseur expects that Leclerc will have some pressure lifted off of him. Vasseur noted that the best way for the Monegasque to learn about Formula 1 even more was with a new teammate. From the first day I started talking to Lewis, I was convinced that it would be good for Charles as well by taking some of the pressure off him, And then, after four years alongside Carlos, the best way to learn was to have a new teammate. Also, to see new ways of working.

Fred Vasseur noted

Hamilton still encountered some issues during the initial testing days after being slower than Leclerc. Regardless, the Briton remained faster than his teammate during pre-season testing. As such, the coming season is set to remain an unknown for both drivers. Time will tell about how the seven-time champion pans out against the massive hopes banked on him.
