Furious George Russell slams Max Verstappen for ‘disrespecting him’ over Qatar GP saga
George Russell sternly responded to Max Verstappen following harsh comments from the latter for an on-track incident in Qatar.

The Qatar GP was a rude awakening for George Russell after Max Verstappen called him out for his antics. The Dutchman was given an unexpected grid penalty of one place after Russell reportedly ‘snitched’ on the pole sitter. As a result, Verstappen put forth his own perspective on the fiasco. To this, Russell took offense and gave a stern response to the championship winner.
Max Verstappen‘s pole position was snatched away after George Russell dragged the complaint of being ‘impeded’ during his out lap. Following this, Verstappen asserted that he had lost all respect for the Briton and asked him to ‘F**k off.’ Russell recalled the quotes and reckoned that he found it ‘ironic’ that the Dutchman would try to collide with the former purposefully. Subsequently, the 26-year-old highlighted that he wouldn’t ‘accept’ comments that questioned his integrity.
Russell reiterated that all the comments from Verstappen were totally ‘disrespectful and unnecessary.’ The reason for this was that whatever happened on track during races was nothing personal. Moreover, the Briton believed that the ‘hard fight’ in the steward’s room was nothing personal as well. Following the drama, the 26-year-old concluded that the reigning world champion had taken it too far.

George Russell wasn’t mincing his words while ill-talking Verstappen and his tactics. Russell was questioned about the timing of his comment back to the Dutchman one week after the previous comments. To this, the Briton noted that he responded now only because he felt ‘disrespected as a driver.’ Subsequently, the 26-year-old highlighted that Verstappen thought of himself as ‘above the law.’
