After a long wait, the F1 paddock rolled up to its next race in Hungary. Several experts and former drivers were present at the track, including the former world champion, Nico Rosberg. Moreover, the German has often been spotted interviewing drivers and team principals. Similarly, he was spotted at the Hungaroring, interviewing Mercedes supremo, Toto Wolff, and George Russell was hilariously spotted throwing peanuts at the Austrian.

George Russell has been a part of the Mercedes pool of drivers for almost eight years. The Brit is known for his presentations to convince Toto Wolff for a drive under the German marque’s reigns. Subsequently, the 26-year-old’s patience was awarded with him acquiring a contract in 2022. Since then, the pair has been spotted having a banter off-track.

This banter continued into the Hungarian GP weekend as the former two-time race winner tossed peanuts at his team boss.

I was just about getting angry with the fan and it's you[George Russell] actually.

The 52-year-old was being interviewed by Nico Rosberg but was taken aback by peanuts falling on himself. The Austrian suspected the peanuts to be coming from other motorhome fans. However, they were being thrown by the young Brit and a hilarious argument took place afterward.

George Russell gives an interesting verdict for the Hungarian GP

While Mercedes emerged as the leading team heading out of the triple-header, their weekend in Hungary must be full of expectations. On the other hand, Russell has been considered the team leader and has been leading his teammates in races and qualifying head-to-head.

Despite being on an absolute run, the Brit gave an interesting verdict on who might emerge victorious in Hungary.

I think anything can happen, and I am excited to see what we can do. We will be in the mix again for the top four positions, and Checo[Sergio Perez] seemed quite quick, so that might be a bit of a surprise having a fight there as well. He was really quick.
George Russell said in an interview with RacingNews365

Russell claimed that anybody could take the first-place trophy around the 4.3-kilometer track. However, he reckoned that the German giant would be in the top four positions, while Sergio Perez might come about as a spanner in the works with the Mexican finding pace in the practice sessions.

Despite his optimism, the Brit and the Mexican were knocked out in the first part of qualifying. Moreover, if similar results continue, Red Bull might be in trouble as the team earlier admitted that they desperately need Perez to be back on top form again.
