The Formula 1 season is on pause for a month after the Singapore GP and will resume action on October 21 in Austin. Many drivers and teams are focused on their work for the next race. Apart from that they’re also utilizing the time to spend with their family and loved ones.
Mercedes driver George Russell was seen spending vacation time with girlfriend Carmen Mundt. The pair have been dating since 2020. When the Mercedes driver is on break between races, he often spends time with her.
They frequently enjoy holidays at luxury destinations like Ibiza and Mykonos. Both prefer relaxing at beach resorts and occasionally share glimpses of their trips on social media. Mundt recently shared a picture, taken by Russell, from a beach resort on Instagram.
Before going on on vacation, the couple shared a hilarious moment when they coincidentally wore the same white outfit and jokingly argued about who should change. In the picture Mundt posted on her social media, she wore a blue jacket, striped top, white pants, loafers, sunglasses, and a cap. They seemed to be having a good time during their vacation before Russell resumed duties with Mercedes.

George Russell has been with the Silver Arrows for four years, winning multiple races with Mercedes. Despite not being the lead driver, with Lewis Hamilton holding that role, Russell has consistently delivered strong performances.
However, with the announcement that Hamil will be exiting the team next year, Kimi Antonelli is set to step into the departing seven-time world champion’s seat to drive alongside Russell in 2025.
At the age of 18 and with no F1 experience, Antonelli will not take the lead role in the team. Instead, the responsibility will shift to Russell from the 2025 season. The 26-year-old said that he was ready and eager to fight for the title with Mercedes.
This is the next step in my journey, I’ll have been in the team for four years and part of the Mercedes family for eight or nine years. I feel ready in every way to fight for the World Championship in 2025.

Before Russell takes on the lead role from Hamilton, they have six more races together this season to give their best and win a few. The season has been a rollercoaster for Mercedes, starting with strong performances in the early races that brought three wins. However, as the season progressed, their performance took a dive.
