Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has offered Mick Schumacher some advice. Schumacher raced for the Haas Formula 1 team under Steiner for two seasons, scoring only 12 points during his tenure.
Mick Schumacher made his debut in 2021 after winning the Formula 2 championship. Many individuals had high expectations from him given his father Michael Schumacher‘s legacy in the sport. However, he was unsuccessful in proving his worth and was later sacked by the team in 2022.
Guenther Steiner has urged the 25-year-old to seek guidance from four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel. The latter is often regarded as one of the most skilled drivers in the history of the sport. He shares a good bond both with Schumacher Jr. and his father.
Even if the fans don’t care much about my opinion, Mick Schumacher should take Sebastian Vettel as a mentor. He needs it badly so he can get things back on track.

Guenther Steiner claims Mick Schumacher’s talent was not nurtured properly
Guenther Steiner has talked highly of Mick Schumacher’s talent and skill in his recent interviews. Steiner was a hard critic of Schumacher during his time at Haas but has been thoroughly supportive of the latter thereafter.
His father, Michael, had become world champion at the age of 22 and had [manager] Willi Weber by his side for years. Why didn’t Mick have someone like that? Look, Mick Schumacher has plenty of talent – that is not up for debate – but, in my opinion, that talent has not been nurtured correctly. I thought I was doing my bit by giving him the chance to cut his teeth in an F1 car but, in the end, it wasn’t enough. Everyone should have done more, including him.

Steiner claimed that the 25-year-old was not guided properly by his team and was also lacking in his own efforts. The American-Italian boss took the example of Michael Schumacher to emphasize the need for better nurturing.
The 25-year-old now wishes to get back on the grid of the pinnacle of motorsport. He has to carry forward his father’s legacy, which is a humongous task upon his shoulders, especially considering his recent struggles in securing a drive for 2025.
