Daniel Ricciardo has been the talk of the town at the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix. He has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons and amidst his ongoing sacking rumors, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has come up with a strong statement.

Helmut Marko has made it known that everything within the Red Bull setup is performance-based. Daniel Ricciardo was brought to RB (AlphaTauri) in the first place because of the underperformance of Nyck de Vries last year.

It has been highly rumored in the paddock that Liam Lawson will take Ricciardo’s place in the Faenza-based team after Singapore.

Looking at the reaction of the 81-year-old, it is quite clear that Ricciardo is in big trouble. He hasn’t perfomed as per expected levels and thus, could really be shown the exit door at the end of the ongoing Singapore race weekend.

RB insists ‘all options’ are on the table for Daniel Ricciardo

While Helmut Marko has given an extremely strong response in relation to Daniel Ricciardo’s prospects, the RB CEO Peter Bayer, has also weighed in on the situation. He has admitted that several options are open for the 35-year-old.

No. The discussions are ongoing. As Daniel said yesterday, there are actually all options.

Ricciardo has always been a fan favorite at the pinnacle of motor racing. He has a very upbeat personality and that atttracts the fans toward him. However, in a fierce sport like F1, performance is always the paramount deciding factor behind a driver’s chances.

This is the one area where Ricciardo has fallen massively short against his young teammate Yuki Tsunoda. The Australian still has hopes of driving for Red Bull one day but the way things are going, it seems very unlikely.
