Helmut Marko insists ‘Netflix superstar Guenther Steiner’ didn’t treat Mick Schumacher ‘correctly’ during time at Haas
Mick Schumacher amassed only 12 points while being involved in a serious number of crashes during his two seasons at Haas F1.

Red Bull Technical Advisor Helmut Marko has aimed a dig at Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner. The Italian-American was the team principal of Haas when Mick Schumacher joined the team after a promising spell in Formula 2.
Mick Schumacher joined the Kannapolis-based team in 2021 after winning the F3 and F2 titles. He was, however, sacked just after two seasons, having amassed only 12 points for the team in that span.
Helmut Marko has since backed Schumacher as a talented driver worthy of having an F1 seat. Marko claims that Guenther Steiner was negligent in making the most of chumacher’s abilities during his time with the team.
On a sporting level I think he has already given his best. He won F3 and F2 and that made him interesting for F1. At Haas, however, he was not treated correctly by the Netflix superstar Gunther Steiner. And that is a fact.Helmut Marko said in an interview with F1-insider
Schumacher is currently a reserve driver for Mercedes and has been rumored to return to the grid in 2025. Going forward, he will hope for negotiations to unfold in his favor to prove his worth on track for a second time.
Guenther Steiner outlines fresh objectives for new Audi boss in 2026
Former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto is set to lead Audi as the COO and CTO in 2026. In light of this, Guenther Steiner has offered Binotto some advice to help the team in achieving their F1 targets.

Audi will takeover Sauber F1 team in 2025, ahead of the independent incorporation of their team the year after. Steiner has since called for Mattia Binotto to ensure the buildup of a suitable structure to improve Sauber’s situation in 2026.
The German giants will be looking to make a mark in Formula 1 starting next season. They will hope to solve Sauber’s issues while developing a fruitful management system.
