Red Bull has found itself in an interesting position over the 2024 season. The team appeared as the best destination for any F1 personnel, but witnessing its downward trends, a mass exodus took place. On the other hand, football genius (Ex-Liverpool manager) Jurgen Klopp would join Red Bull GmBH in 2025. This led team consultant Helmut Marko to hint at expanding the German’s role over to the F1 side.

Jurgen Klopp is known for his impressive managing skills and directing teams to success in the football world. The 57-year-old’s last venture came with Liverpool, where he spent eight years. He helped the team amass the Champions League title in 2019 and was also responsible for winning the Premier League.

However, the German decided to leave the team at the end of 2022, and would now begin his role at Red Bull as the global head of football from January 1, 2025. With this, the Austrian giant’s other divisions could also benefit from his arrival.

Moreover, Helmut Marko is also aware of this and knows about the utility that Klopp’s knowledge may bring. Though his statements were left open-ended, his intentions were clear, and the ball is now in the German’s court.

I don’t know how he wants to combine everything, these different continents and things like that. But because football is very important to us, I think it was the best move we could have made. He is an extraordinary coach and also a motivator.

Klopp’s arrival at Milton Keynes could help rebuild the team again. Red Bull F1 had recently lost key senior members, making his presence and vast experience crucial in their revival to the constructors’ table-top.

Helmut Marko gave an insight into Red Bull’s RB21

While Marko hints at Klopp’s future role at Milton Keynes, Red Bull is repping up for its 2025 car launch. The RB21 is slated to iron out the woes that troubled Max Verstappen and improve the agility of the car. On the other hand, the winter break is coming to an end and the teams would be finalizing their designs around the paddock.

Subsequently, Marko revealed that the basic concept of the RB21 is ready.

I would say that the basic concept is ready. The car is de facto finished and it is now going into final production. At that point you see how much weight can be saved.

This could be interpreted that Red Bull is content with its RB21 design. It would reduce the general sense of havoc in Milton Keynes that enveloped the team throughout the 2024 season, and the team aims to get back to the front next year.
