Red Bull Technical Advisor Helmut Marko has offered some key pointers to Sergio Perez amidst his poor form in 2024. Perez has not been a consistent performer for the Milton-Keynes outfit, scoring only 24 points in the last seven races.
Sergio Perez signed a contract extension with Red Bull this season, which invoked much criticism given his unreliable form. The Mexican has since been given an ultimatum to perform, failure of which could lead to his departure ahead of next season.
Helmut Marko, however, has backed Perez and asked him to be more consistent in the remaining races this year. Marko also said the 34-year-old is still the best option for the Milton-Keynes-based team, given his on-track capabilities.

Perez now has a tremendous responsibility on his shoulders to perform for the team after the summer break. His ability to notch wins and podiums will be a major factor in determining his position on the grid for 2025.
Max Verstappen claims Red Bull is ‘fighting for every position’ at the top
Three-time world champion Max Verstappen has opened up on the struggles of Red Bull this season. Verstappen leads the title race but has looked far from efficient on several occasions with the RB20 this campaign.
I try to optimise every weekend, because if I have a good car, it makes my life also a little bit easier, and probably also makes the team's life easier. But that's not how it goes at the moment, so we have to really fight for every position at the top, but that's okay.Max Verstappen told the media including RacingNews365
Max Verstappen has talked about his efforts to maximize results for himself and the team week in and week out. In light of this, Verstappen has concluded that the RB20 has not been competitive against the top teams this season.
McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari are the outfits that have outpaced the RB20 on several occasions this season. Red Bull will now try their best to maintain their lead, hoping to produce some potent performances on track after the summer break.
