Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali gives reasoning for postponing the qualifying

Stefano Domenicali explained that the conditions were not good enough for qualifying on Saturday as it would’ve been very unsafe to send drivers on a run. He also mentioned that there was a problem with the visibility on track due to fog and rain, and thus it was postponed to Sunday.

The FIA rescheduled the race and qualifying times due to the weather conditions. The Qualifying will begin at 7:30 local time and the race will take place at 12:30.

We cannot control the weather as you know and it’s a pity but the conditions are not safe to drive, it’s as simple as that. There is also a problem with light also. So unfortunately that’s the situation we have to manage.
