Max Verstappen is spending the entirety of the summer break with his family, which recently received a new addition. Verstappen became a girl-dad with Kelly Piquet as the Dutchman revealed the daughter’s name and some details a few months ago. Now, Aston Martin’s Driver Ambassador Jessica Hawkins has talked about the reigning world champion’s daughter racing in motorsports, especially Formula 1, in the coming year.
Lily is born into a family of great genes, as Max Verstappen is already a four-time champion and potentially more. Moreover, Kelly Piquet‘s father, Nelson Piquét, is also a three-time F1 champ. As such, Lily definitely has some great racing genes from both sides of her family. As such, Jessica Hawkins laid out her wish to see more female participants in motorsport racing, especially with Verstappen’s daughter.
Jessica Hawkins is one of the very few prominent female drivers in motorsport. She heads Aston Martin’s F1 Academy program. Hawkins opened up on Lily Verstappen and her potential entry into the world of motorsport and ultimately Formula 1. The Briton hoped that she would see some more females participating before Lily became of age.
Still, Hawkins insisted that Lily had great genes to be fast and possess the speed required to be competitive in motorsports. She reiterated that she hoped to see more females, or atleast one, before Lily potentially came into racing. However, it might not be anytime soon, as Max Verstappen had already clarified that he wouldn’t push his child into motorsports or racing, like his father did with him.
I’m hoping that maybe we might see one before then, But yeah, quite possibly. I guess, yeah, good genes to have – good fast genes – and I’m hoping we’ll see one before then, maybe.

Max Verstappen faster than “everyone else” in F1
Max Verstappen has emerged as one of the better drivers on the grid, despite suffering from a mediocre pace in the car. The Dutchman has kept up with results and is P3 in the driver’s standings. As such, amid Verstappen’s trying times, Le Mans veteran, James Baldwin, has applauded the former’s performances this year and made a shocking claim.

James Baldwin did not mince his words while claiming that Max Verstappen was faster than everyone else on the grid. Baldwin raised no doubts on this fact and asserted that no matter the track conditions, Verstappen remained better than everyone else. Moreover, the Briton insisted that the gaps that he had to his teammates at Red Bull were ‘nuts’.
He is quicker than probably everyone else on the grid. I agree. No doubt. Dry, wet, whatever situation, he probably is quicker. But the the gaps to the teammates are nuts.
James Baldwin said, as reported GPblog
Red Bull is suffering from a massive performance slump in Formula 1 and has seemingly no fix for the issues. Lily could be a lucky charm for Max Verstappen as he could start to perform well in the coming races. Now, time will tell about how the final ten races pan out for the reigning world champion, as his chances to win the 2025 season continue to diminish.
