Max Verstappen is preparing for becoming a father to Kelly Piquet‘s child in 2025 alongside the perpetration for F1 season. The pregnancy date for Piquet is reportedly expected to be April, which could put Verstappen in a unique situation. As the delivery date nears, his father Jos Verstappen has made a hilarious remark on the Dutchman’s condition after becoming a father.

Max Verstappen hasn’t raised any concerns over Kelly Piquet having the baby mid-way through the April month. The Red Bull racer seems prepared to handle the duties of being a father and a Formula 1 driver with ease. Moreover, Verstappen would be glad to become an actual father for the first time after being a ‘bonus dad’ to Piquet’s daughter Penelope.

However, fatherhood might be difficult for Verstappen as the child might get tough to handle at times. Additionally, multiple individuals believed that the Dutchman might lose his focus from Formula 1 after becoming a father. However, Jos Verstappen believed that his son’s performance wouldn’t take a hit. The Ex-F1 driver recalled that such wasn’t the case when he became a father. On the contrary, the 27-year-old might be happy to leave the house at times due to the child’s constant crying.

Verstappen Sr. believes that it is too early to determine whether the child would be into racing. The Dutchman further highlighted that the reigning world champion started racing in karts when he was six years old. The 53-year-old funnily pointed out that Verstappen Jr.’s karts won’t be ready by the time his child is born.

That is far too early at the moment. We wanted to start karting when Max was about six, but it ended up being a bit earlier. I don’t think the karts are ready for Max [to use with his coming child] now.
