Lewis Hamilton is statistically the most successful driver in Formula 1 history. The seven-time world champion has now joined the most iconic team in the world of racing, Scuderia Ferrari. However, F1 icon Juan Pablo Montoya asserted that the British driver will not be bigger than the Prancing Horse.

Montoya highlighted that if Lewis Hamilton had joined any team on the grid other than Ferrari, he would’ve instantly become the protagonist. The whole garage would then have revolved around the seven-time world champion’s needs. However, the situation will be different in Maranello.

The thing I find fascinating about Lewis at Ferrari is that today he could be put in any team other than Ferrari, and he would be the protagonist.

Juan Pablo Montoya made it clear that nothing was bigger than Ferrari. He asserted that the Scuderia will still maintain control of the team despite Lewis Hamilton’s presence. Montoya reckoned that Hamilton might be instructed to do things he might not like to do at Maranello this year.

But nothing is bigger than Ferrari, so I think the way they will control and manage it will be very interesting.

Juan Pablo Montoya added

Lewis Hamilton to benefit from Angela Cullen’s return

Angela Cullen was Lewis Hamilton’s trainer and close confidant in early 2023. However, the pair is now back together as the British driver joins the Scuderia. Montoya insisted that Cullen’s return was great for Hamilton. The 40-year-old will benefit from her companionship in the new environment at the Prancing Horse.

I think it’s good for Lewis Hamilton to have someone like Angela Cullen next to him, because he’s entering a completely new environment.

Juan Pablo Montoya stated

Hamilton has already made his on-track debut for Ferrari in the race-winning SF-23. Now, the 40-year-old will be focusing on the start of the upcoming season. It remains to be seen if this highly anticipated partnership will bring in the desired results when the season kicks off in Melbourne.
