Ex-Red Bull driver jokes Donald Trump will take credit for Lando Norris’ maiden F1 victory at Miami GP

Lando Norris took his maiden F1 win at the Miami street circuit. Moreover, McLaren‘s Zak Brown was accompanied by Donald Trump before the race, and the duo was spotted chatting. Subsequently, after this interaction and the 57-lap Miami GP, Lando Norris won the race which led former F1 driver, Karun Chandhok to take a jibe at Trump.

Even before the race had started, the weekend was filled with controversies as Donald Trump‘s friend was sent a cease-and-desist letter for his paddock pass after the intentions of him holding a fundraising event came to light. This further led to speculations about whether the 77-year-old would be attending the Miami race.

However, the Republican was spotted in the paddock and was a guest of McLaren.

As indicated earlier, Lando Norris won the race a few hours later after Trump’s paddock arrival, leading the fans to erupt in happiness over the Brit’s triumph. However, Karun Chandhok swooped in on this opportunity to take a sarcastic jibe at Trump by claiming that the former President would find a way to relate and claim credit for Norris’s win.

The 24-year-old is a fan favorite and is also an inspiration to many rising talents as well as various people in the F1 paddock. Thus, after winning the race, the Brit was seen surrounded by many people!

Among the people who congratulated the Englishman, the former President, Donald Trump was also one of them.

After the 57-lap race, Lando Norris bumped into the Republican, who congratulated him for winning the race. Moreover, FIA president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem accompanied them the whole time and seemed ecstatic about Norris’s victory.

Apart from this, the English outfit became the third team to have scored a win in 2024. Moreover, with their current trend and rapid upgrades, they could challenge Red Bull at even more tracks this year.
