Lando Norris has been the talk of the town during the ongoing 2024 F1 season. He is the one alongside Max Verstappen contending for the world championship but for one reason or the other, he had a very timid outing during yesterday’s Belgian GP.
The Brit ended his race in P6 but was promoted to fifth place courtesy of George Russell‘s shock disqualification. After the race, while expressing his thoughts, Lando Norris cut out as an extremely disappointed figure.
He even went on to deem his 44-lap outing as embarrassing.
Honestly, I don't know. I mean Turn 1 ruined my chances of everything, went off in Turn 1. I just tried to avoid any contact with people on the inside and I just misjudged the kerb and then I bottomed out on the kerb, and I've gone off. So, a bit stupid honestly. Almost embarrassing. Actually was embarrassing.Lando Norris via F1

Looking at the reaction of the 24-year-old, it is quite clear that he was dejected with his outing. Norris’s had an average qualifying and made mistakes during the race, all in all, the Belgian GP weekend was an extremely tough one for the prolific Brit.
Lando Norris determined to come back ‘stronger’ after summer break
While Lando Norris is disappointed with his 44-lap outing around the picturesque Spa-Francorchamps, he has made it known that he is looking forward to the summer break. The 24-year-old wants to reset everything and return to F1 in a better physical and mental state.
We all need it, but I think I just need it to reset. I’ve given away a lot of points over the last races, just because of stupid stuff. Mistakes and bad starts. Silly things, not even difficult stuff. Hopefully I can come back stronger.Lando Norris said post Belgian GP

The McLaren F1 team is in second position in the 2024 Constructors Championship. Red Bull is sitting at the top with 408 points but the papaya is not too far behind.
Norris and Co. have also managed 366 and are in touching distance of the Austrian outfit. After yesterday’s race, the sport is now in its almost month-long summer break, and considering this, everyone will look forward to recharging their batteries ahead of an important second leg of the 2024 F1 season.
