Lando Norris achieved a stellar race win at the Brazil GP after starting the race from pole position. Norris showed no weaknesses in Interlagos and went on to achieve an impressive feat on Sunday. Now, the Briton is leading the title fight by over 24 points over his teammate, Oscar Piastri. As such, after nearly ending the title fight, Norris is still unhappy with his domination on race day and claims he is disappointed.
The driver’s title fight has seemed to tip in Lando Norris‘s favor suddenly as Oscar Piastri has failed to amass any notable results in recent outings. Piastri is making multiple mistakes and is cracking under pressure, which is further worsening his championship chances.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is chipping away at the point deficit slowly but surely. Even though the Briton can relax for a bit now as he leads the title by a comfortable lead, he is disappointed by his Brazilian GP sweep.
Speaking on his race win on Sunday, Lando Norris insisted that he indeed achieved a great race win. However, after witnessing Max Verstappen’s dominant charge from pitlane start to a P3 finish, Norris was a bit disappointed.
He added that he was unhappy because McLaren wasn’t any quicker and he was just 10s off Verstappen. Hence, the Briton noted that the team must see what they can do to improve further and build the gap to the reigning world champion.
Lando Norris further talked about his championship ambitions despite seemingly being in a good enough lead now. He reiterated that the championship can change very quickly and added that his focus was purely on himself. Norris aims to keep his head down in the game and keep pushing up until the very last race, or atleast until he is crowned as a championship winner this year.
It was a great win, but to see how quick Max was today – I’m disappointed we weren’t quicker. We need to see what we can do. [The Championship] can change so quickly, so I just focus on myself, keep my head down and keep pushing.
Lando Norris said in a post-race interview.

Lando Norris reveals how he deals with the hate despite dominating the races
Although Lando Norris is currently dominating the racing grid and is achieving race wins back to back, he is still booed on the podiums constantly. Despite his positive results, he is being hated on by the crowd at a majority of the racing venues. Now, with his championship chances looking stronger than ever, he will surely face a lot more negative reactions in the coming races. Hence, he reveals what he thinks about the constant noise.

Lando Norris noted that he simply ignored everyone who talked negatively about him. He pointed out that McLaren had done a great job, and he was pushing with all his might on the racing track. Norris highlighted that ultimately, he won the race and was glad to achieve it in such a dominant manner.
[I] just ignore everyone that talks ***** about you, the team has done an amazing job, we are pushing away from the track, pushing on track and glad to take home the win.

The 2025 season only has three more races to go now after the Brazilian GP. Lando Norris will definitely have an easier time as compared to before now. However, the title fight is far from over as Max Verstappen isn’t out of the battle yet. Moreover, Oscar Piastri is still in close contention despite his recent struggles on the track.
