Lando Norris has emerged as one of the better drivers on the F1 track this year. The Briton has achieved seven race wins this year and equalled his teammate Oscar Piastri. Despite his dominant run recently, he has been one of the most hated drivers as he suffers from intense trolling and boos over the race weekends. Still, despite the constant criticism, Norris makes a bold statement on how he won’t change his ways and still do what he likes.
The Las Vegas GP is up next, and Lando Norris does not have the best track record on the third and final American race in the 2025 calendar. Moreover, since the past couple of race weekends, Norris has been egged on by the crowds present at the race and is suffering from intense trolling. Moreover, his comments about his poor form at the Las Vegas GP wouldn’t be received with great enthusiasm by the haters.
Now, Lando Norris is confident in himself and does not really pay attention to the negativity around his performances. As such, Norris clarified that he wouldn’t fake his thoughts for the Las Vegas GP race for fear of facing even more flak.
He insisted that he was simply giving his honest opinion and was not sugarcoating the harsh truth. The Briton continued that he hadn’t been very competitive there and hence wasn’t the most confident heading into the weekend.
Lando Norris raised doubts about his winning chances at the Las Vegas GP, but was still hopeful of achieving the best results possible. Further, he explained that everyone had the right to have their own opinions on what the championship leader should and should not say. However, he was the least concerned about what others thought about him, and hence, he was going to do whatever he felt was best and not change for others.
We’ve never been good in Vegas, So why am I going to think, ‘Yeah, it’s going to be fine?’ I’m giving my honest opinion on how I think we’re going to be. We’ve never been good there, so I’m not the most confident about going into that race. Maybe I’ll win, then we’ll see. You’re very right to have your own opinion on what you think I should say and what I should not say and whatever, but I’ll do what I like.
Lando Norris said, as reported by RacingNews365.
Lando Norris claims he will “say and think what I want”
Lando Norris’ comments about struggling at the Las Vegas GP came amid a very dominant run by him and McLaren. As such, the interviewers suggested that Norris manage expectations and remain positive about his chances. To this, he explained that he could say what he wanted and think what he wanted. Further, the Briton claimed that he tried to be as honest as possible.

Norris simply asserted that if he felt that he wouldn’t be quick at the upcoming Las Vegas GP, he was bound to have his own opinion on the matter. He explained that he did not expect to win or finish all the way in P10, but he was going to have a difficult outing nevertheless.
The 26-year-old further condemned the question asked of him and noted that he hadn’t been quick the entire year, and he was simply giving his opinion on whether the coming race would be easy or not.
No, I can say what I want. I can think what I want. I always try and be as honest as I can be. If I don’t think we’re going to be quick, I don’t think we’re going to be quick. I’m just saying I think it’s going to be difficult to win. It’s not like we’ve won every single race and you’re expecting me to say those things. I’m just giving my opinion on whether I think it’s going to be easy.
Lando Norris noted.
Certainly, Lando Norris has one of the more interesting characters compared to the other drivers on the grid. He faces a lot of criticism, yet he handles it all with maturity and does not lash out more than required. Norris is seemingly the favorite to win the driver’s title this year, and this will definitely offend a lot of people in the community.
