Lando Norris was extremely quick off the racing line and managed to stay out of trouble throughout the race. The 25-year-old did not lose the lead of the race, holding onto his pole position. The 25-year-old labeled his outing on the Red Bull Ring as ‘Tricky and Tiring’ as he fended off well against his in-form teammate. Norris asserted that a one-two finish was exactly what McLaren wanted as they maximized points over the race weekend.

Yeah, was a tough race, pushing the whole way through, tricky and tiring. A 1-2 is exactly what we wanted, and we did it so I’m happy.

We had a great battle, it was a lot of sun – a lot of stress but a lot of fun. A nice battle, so well done to Oscar.
