F1 commentator warns Oscar Piastri over becoming Lando Norris’ wingman

While Lando Norris has made it known that he can win a world championship with McLaren, seeing his performances, F1 commentator, Harry Benjamin, fears that Norris’s teammate, Oscar Piastri is slowly becoming a second driver on the team.

Since joining the papaya outfit, Piastri has proved second-best against Norris on most occasions.

There’s no doubt about his speed in that car, but we all thought that he’d be closer to Norris by now. And I think that rate of improvement needs to be scaled up now, because otherwise he going to be the number two in that team.
Harry Benjamin said via the BBC Chequered Flag podcast

During the ongoing campaign, Norris has so far managed a podium and scored 37 points in the drivers’ championship. The young Australian on the other hand, has put 32 points on the board.

However, keeping in view that there are still 20 races remaining on the 2024 calendar, it is going to be fascinating to see how the McLaren intra-team battle will pan out. Especially considering that Norris and Piastri are considered one of the most exciting driver line-ups on the current grid.
