Looking back at the difficult spell of over two and a half years, Lewis Hamilton feels it has made him a better person and teammate. Here, the Brit is not only talking about George Russell, but the whole Mercedes squad.

It’s not how you fall, it’s how you get up. It’s how you continue to apply yourself every single day. It’s how you connect with people that you work with. I probably learned to be a better team mate in this period of time, because we’ve had more time to focus on communication.

The 39-year-old via his comments, has left no stone unturned in making it known how the whole Mercedes group came together during the hard times. It is only after this year’s Monaco GP that Hamilton and Co. have got things right with their challenger and as a result, have amassed three solid victories.

I wouldn't say I've seen a great change in Lewis in [so much as] did the win bring him confidence? I think it's probably a relief for him, and it means he's not asking that question of will he win again.

Hamilton triumphed at this year’s British GP and the last race before the ongoing summer break, the Belgian GP. F1 is slated to return this week after almost a month-long hiatus and considering this, the Brit will be itching to pick things up from where he left at Spa-Francorchamps. Several eyes will be glued on the Mercedes star at the Dutch GP.
